Since the very beginning, the name Opdenhoff has stood for reliability, technical precision and entrepreneurial foresight. Founded by Klaus and Hildegard Opdenhoff, the company has always been an established name in the manufacture of control cabinets, program and power control as well as the planning and implementation of control systems for machines and systems.

With a profound understanding of the needs of industrial manufacturing processes and a strong commitment to quality, the two founders laid the foundations for what Opdenhoff is today: a modern solution provider with heart and mind.

2002- Generational change with a view to the future

In 2002, Jürgen Opdenhoff, an electrical engineering graduate, followed in his parents' footsteps and took over the management of the family business. With technical expertise, strategic vision and a clear sense of the requirements of an increasingly digitalized industry, he led Opdenhoff into a new era.

2007- Change of name and reorientation

With the growing focus on future-oriented technologies and holistic system solutions, the company changed its name in 2007. This step not only marked a formal change, but also the consistent further development of the corporate identity under the leadership of Jürgen Opdenhoff.

The change of name reflected the transformation from a traditional switchgear manufacturer to a modern solution provider for automation, digitalization and process integration. It was an expression of a clear vision: to combine proven engineering skills with the requirements of Industry 4.0 and thus offer customers not only products, but also future-proof solutions from a single source.

2019- From vision to solution

The foundation stone for OPDPRO.CARE was laid in 2019 - initially as a vision, later as a project close to our hearts. The idea: to create a digital solution that not only maps industrial processes, but also supports, simplifies and optimizes them holistically. In this "baby hour" of OPDPRO.CARE, the focus was on the idea of using digital tools to really relieve the burden on people in industry - transparently, intuitively and practically.

After an intensive development period and numerous pilot phases, OPDPRO.C ARE went live in 2022 - in a greenfield project that was realized in close cooperation with the leading European manufacturer of roof systems in the most modern plant for the production of roofing goods in Europe. The successful cooperation impressively demonstrated how effective the interplay of technological expertise, partnership-based dialog and practical implementation can be.

Today, OPDPRO.CARE is an integral part of the Opdenhoff portfolio - a digital platform that puts customers at the center and makes processes tangible, controllable and sustainably efficient.
